Description:The Operations Supervisor at the U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) is responsible for overseeing the floor in the River’s Edge restaurant. Occasional responsibilities in other food and beverage establishments on-site may also be necessary. The Operations Supervisor is someone who is responsible and professional with the ability to multitask and help manage operations in a high-volume restaurant.
-Maintain a proper dining experience in the restaurant by anticipating guest needs and providing a high level of service and hospitality
-Assist with implementing policies and procedures and training materials
-Train and motivate all employees to maintain high quality standards
-Manage opening and closing procedures, labor cost, and count inventory as needed
-Assist with record keeping, reports, and paperwork with a strong attention to detail
-Complete other tasks as requested by management
-Maintain and promote a clean safe environment for staff and guests
-Maintain availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays – a strong presence on the floor during peak business hours is required
-Maintain accurate knowledge of activities and products offered at facility
Requirements:-A positive, proactive attitude and a service mindset
-A good foundation of food, wine, and beer knowledge
-Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
-Proficient with Microsoft office products
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
-ServSafe food and alcohol certifications
-Previous experience with Micros, Yellowdog, or Hotschedules
Physical Requirements
