Description:

This position manages multiple KFC poultry suppliers to ensure the safety, quality, and consistency of poultry products delivered to KFC restaurants. •Drives KFC Food Safety and Quality Assurance strategy, goals and objectives •Manages relationship with multiple poultry supplier locations •Monitors performance of suppliers and ensures compliance to specifications and Yum QA Programs by conducting QSA’s, QSA follow-ups, FSA’s and product evaluations. Drives follow up and corrective action plans on all critical issues. Utilizes root cause analysis to drive immediate resolution on issues identified through Hotline reports and KPI reports, •Monitors raw material supply and demand trends to determine changes in availability and/or quality that can negatively impact the business; assists development of contingency plans for such occurrences. •Provides risk/benefit analysis of supplier partners and influences approved supplier decisions based on supplier performance against key metrics. •Identifies opportunities for product/process improvements through root cause and trend analysis. Supports supplier improvement projects accordingly to deliver superior product quality. Participates with and assists in coordinating supplier summits to drive continuous improvement of KFC poultry products.

Requirements:

•Education/Certifications – Bachelor of Science in Food Science or related scientific field; Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ) •Experience •Years of Experience – 5-10 years of poultry industry experience (QA, production, processing, and/or R&D) with a minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience •Strong product management experience •Willing to travel up to 80% (primarily in Southeast) •Strong interpersonal skills and strong personal initiative. Must be able to build alliances and be a team player. Must be able to present material in composed and confident manner. Strong application of principle, practices and procedures within area of specialization. Ability to plan and prioritize multiple projects. Must be able to execute projects within timelines and budgets. Must be able to anticipate and identify potential challenges and recommend course of action to resolve. Must demonstrate sound judgment and strong reasoning skills.
