Title: Tile Crew Classification: Non - exempt Reports To: Tile Supervisor Job Description Specializes in performing tile repairs/replacement; walk all stores to recognize the tile and VTC repairs needed along with the Tile Supervisor. Performs preventive maintenance an corrective repairs on buildings, walls and grounds. Utilizes multiple trade skills such as carpentry, tile setting, painting, and roofing, other skills as needed to solve maintenance problems. Maintains Vallarta properties by self-performing the following duties. Performs other duties as assigned. General Duties and Responsibilities: • Performs assigned work orders according to schedule by the tile supervisor • Performs all tile and VTC repairs and replacements, completes all new flooring and wall construction jobs to open new stores, etc. • Performs routine painting, carpentry work, etc., as necessary to maintain our stores in like new condition (e.g. repair a floor or wall and matches the tile and any flooring and grout to present a uniform and original like new appearance) • Performs minor electrical maintenance as allowed without a license within state law requirements (e.g. repair or replacement of fixtures, wall switches, and outlets. Replace light bulbs if necessary) • Ability to work safely in an environment containing hazardous chemicals, high and low temperature liquids, high pressure liquids and gasses, steam, and moving machinery • Able to work after hours if needed; weekend support and shutdowns • Maintain a good driving record and current driver’s license at all times, this in case he/she needs to drive the company vehicle as backup to the tile supervisor • Operates the company vehicle safely when if needed • Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed • Provides excellent customer service to the Vallarta Teams Knowledge and Skills: • Utilizes multiple trade skills such as flooring, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and roofing. Other skills as needed to solve maintenance problems • Basic safety and job knowledge • Documentation skills • Power and Hand-Tools • Attention to detail and dependability • Good communication skills in English/Spanish • Follow up and Follow through is a must • Productivity Required Education and Experience: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. • Must exhibit a responsible, professional, and positive attitude towards the job • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays • Must have at least 1 year experience • Must be able to work at all Vallarta Locations within a reasonable commute of home • Must be able to use electronic communication effectively to answer calls and emails, if needed • Must be able to document ability to legally work in the US Physical Demands: • Will be required to spend long hours standing, walking, bending, lifting and in a cold/hot environment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: • This is a non-exempt position; schedule would be based on business necessity and coordinated through the reporting supervisor.
