Title: Director, Digital & Social Marketing Classification: Exempt Reports To: VP of Marketing JOB DESCRIPTION Position Summary: The Digital Marketing Director will lead the development of short and long-term digital marketing strategies for Vallarta Supermarkets. This is an opportunity to utilize your vision to craft our digital marketing approach. It will involve identifying opportunity areas, developing objectives / KPIs and the strategies to succeed. The successful candidate will have consumer marketing experience and a solid background in digital, social and, ideally, database marketing. General Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop our Digital / Social media strategy • Deliver proven, scalable programs that have a positive impact on the business • Owner of all digital, social, email, communications as well as our website and, potentially, apps • Tracking results against KPIs and reporting on all programs • Overseeing the creative development of all digital assets • Social / Digital budget development and tracking • Willing to completely understand all aspects of competitors in our market area • Using social and digital channels, develops and executes ongoing, proactive, and fully inclusive social and digital strategies to stay top-of-mind to existing guests, continually acquiring new guests, and driving results – visits, sales, reservations, orders, and sharing • Works cross-functionally to align strategies and tactics that drive sales growth. • Works directly with brand and creative groups to identify, develop, and deploy relevant and compelling creative. • Works directly with the communications and customer service team to proactively address negative comments or to leverage opportunities • Develop and execute content and influencer marketing strategies • Work closely with creative team to create compelling written and visual content • Managing outside resources Knowledge and Skills: • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. • A creative, innovative thinker who possesses the influencing skills needed to help the organization adopt new ideas and embrace more sophisticated business tools • Results driven with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment; equally adept at providing leadership as well as working side by side with the team • Strong ability to establish credibility and positive relationships with individuals at all levels inside and outside the organization • Targeting our audience in social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) • Solid understanding of consumer communications principles and practice • Ability to work on multiple projects with tight timelines but remain detail oriented • Experience with using data for targeting, segmentation, and personalization to digital/social campaigns • Project Management skills – ability and attitude to move projects to completion on-time, on budget and with clear communication to all stakeholders. • Financial Scope- Working knowledge of the budget and tracking to ensure efficiency • Well-defined proofreading skills Required Education and Experience: • Degree in Marketing, Business or Retail • Expertise in Paid Social, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Email Marketing and influencer campaigns • Experience in content development and A/B testing and reporting • Superb presentation skills (both written and verbal) to internal and external audiences • Experience in Web Analytics, Social Monitoring/Publishing, Content Management, User Testing, Web optimization, Campaign Attribution, and Content Distribution Systems • Proven experience using digital/social media to drive business results • Thought-leadership: you will be developing this area, so must demonstrate the ability to articulate a clear, business-savvy plan to drive results • Experience with all facets of social media ad targeting Physical Demands: • Will be required to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers • Some travel and overnight stays from time to time • May also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is an exempt level position; schedule would be based on business necessity and coordinated through the reporting supervisor.
