Title: System Analyst Classification: Exempt Reports to: Director Project Delivery Job Description Position Overview The System Analyst will support selection development, implementation, operationalization, and escalated support for corporate, warehouse, and store systems. Position demands strong technical acumen with relevant systems, critical thinking skills, and consistent project management/communication. The incumbent will support evolution of Vallarta’s systems including store, merchandising/master data, financial, human resources, labor management, asset protection, and supply chain. Job Requirements: • Responsible for project management, including planning, budgeting, communication, change management, quality control, stakeholder alignment, issue resolution, and conflict management. • Supports selection, development, and deployment efforts related to systems supporting corporate, warehouse, and store functions. • Support technical development of technology upgrades and innovative technologies, gaining and maintaining stakeholder alignment (ownership, executive, senior management, team members), including software/firmware/hardware, configuration, networking, testing, troubleshooting, and managing change impact on existing processes (Business and IT) • Roll out technology changes and innovative technology. Scope includes configuration, software installation, associated business processes, and testing/troubleshooting. • Manages all resources including vendors to meet objectives. • Manages risks to availability of functionality to users/customers. • Collaborate closely with vendors, help desk and field support functions to resolve emerging issues and to effectively establish support for system changes and introduction of innovative technology, including clear and simple to follow support procedures. • Provide necessary end user-support. • Driven by an exemplify by Vallarta’s core values: Customer Service, Commitment, Integrity, Respect, Humility and Teamwork. • Escalated issues: initial response time and resolution time. • Meet or exceed project quality objectives and user expectations. • Deliver projects at or below planned cost’s ability for stakeholders to complete necessary duties not compromised. • Feedback from internal customers, team members, management, and vendors. Knowledge and skills • Manages multiple demands and maintains forward progress on assigned work. Comfortable working under pressure. • Comfortable taking initiative with good sense of when escalation/discussion is needed before acting • Acts with urgency to respond to customer-service impacting issues. • Optional communication skills. Proactively communicates, not leaving stakeholders with uncertainty regarding status. Knows what type of communication is suited to different situations (i.e., phone call, meeting, e-mail, teams chat, text message, etc.) • Strong project management skills including planning and communication of status. • Ability to collaborate well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technology experience including leadership, users, help desk, field support, system administrators, network administrators, database administrators, analysts, and management. • Ability to troubleshoot various systems, leveraging knowledge, experience, vendors, and peers to arrive at situation-appropriate solutions. Excellent diagnostic and critical thinking skills, particularly with anticipating and solving issues before they occur or become critical. • Works in a graceful, positive, and confident manner with patience and flexibility. As position deals with high stress situations cross functionally, able to appropriately deescalate in conflict situations to keep all resources and stakeholders focused. • Rigorous diligence. • Effectively manages risks and benefits to assure the business and its customers are not negatively impacted. • User level experience with Windows 11 and Office365 applications. Required Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, are related discipline. • Relevant progressive experience in an environment with concurrent demands from multiple functions (business and IT). • Five or more years’ experience with consideration given to candidates with less time based on demonstrated ability. • Relevant progressive experience managing technical development efforts, including design, pilot, refinement, rollout, and knowledge transfer to support organization (ex., help desk). Physical Demands Requires prolonged sitting. Typical physical demands or activities include standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and walking. Position will require infrequent movement of IT equipment (less than 25 lbs.) Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is an Exempt Level Position; schedule would be based on business hours Monday through Friday, morning, nights, weekends, and holidays that are required at Vallarta’s headquarters in Santa Clarita, CA. This is not a remote or hybrid position. With the exceptions noted below, this is a full-time on-site position. • Overnight and weekend work will be required as driven by project demands (infrequent). • Company reimbursed travel (infrequent day and infrequent overnight) may be required in Los Angeles area (San Fernando Valley, Whittier, Downey, Valencia, Canyon Country, Antelope Valley, (Palmdale, Lancaster, Victorville) Bakersfield, and Fresno.
