Description:

The Forklift Mechanic must be able to diagnose and repair material handling equipment, such as lift trucks, forklift, aerial lift, stand-up reach, issues. Must be able to perform diagnostic of equipment to pinpoint issues and develop a cost-effective solution. Perform routine maintenance tasks on material handling equipment. Responsibilities and Duties: Capable of troubleshooting and diagnosing any forklift make and type (propane, diesel, electric). Maintain and repair Pickers, Stand-Up Reach Riders, and Forklifts. Repair and replace brakes, cylinders, wheels, radiators, valves, etc. Maintain inventory of parts and repair records for all equipment by completing work orders accurately. Read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Maintain batteries and batter chargers. Must be able to work safely, utilizing proper protective equipment at all times. Must be able to think outside the box when completing any task. Can diligently and efficiently perform given duties. Qualifications and Skills: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience of forklift mechanic work. Effective time management and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. Clean driving record, drug-free environment. Please note we have two different openings for two locations, Palmdale and Bakersfield, CA. We are looking for someone that is honest and self-motivated and works well with others. Willing to work overtime. Must be able to lift/push and pull minimum of 75 lbs.
