The General Manager will be responsible for building a cohesive team, managing the daily operations of the restaurant and creating an environment of fun, warm and relaxed hospitality. Candidates should have experience managing people and restaurant financials. This person must be passionate about our philosophy that ingredients should be consciously sourced from a community of like-minded purveyors to ensure the highest quality results. A minimum of 5 years experience managing a fine-dining restaurant or group of restaurants is required. Requirements:

Oversee and coordinate the planning, organization, training and leadership necessary to achieve objectives in sales, costs, profitability and service. Responsible for ensuring employees are performing their job responsibilities and meeting all job expectations. Provide support and commitment to the restaurant and management team in regards to strategy, policies, service, staff, and guests. Create an exciting, inviting and progressive environment for the restaurant through wine, beer, food and service. In addition to following complany policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to: General - Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance. - Leading by example and setting the standards for service by maintaining discipline and structure. - Become the face of the restaurant, guests should recognize you and count on you. - Demonstrate integrity in all areas, both personal and professional. Instill trust and dependability among the staff and become a role model built on character and positive actions. - Have a strong willingness to become part of a community. Focus on people and making connections, while strengthening relationships that already exist. - Share in the restaurants vision and responsibility of being eco-conscious through sustainability and leadership in the community and industry. - Constantly promote teamwork among the staff and management by displaying creativity, trust, dependability and respect. Financial - Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs. - Responsible for ensuring that all financial, personnel and payroll administrative duties are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. - Create annual budget and report on profit and loss statements. Operations - Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Complete all accident reporting with employees and guests promptly. - Ensure proper security procedures are in place to protect employees and guests. - Manage shifts including daily decision making, scheduling, product quality and cleanliness. - Investigate and resolve complaints concerning service and food quality. Personnel - Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues. - Interview employees. Direct hiring, supervision, development and termination. - Oversee training of new employees. - Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and conducting performance reviews. - Maintain an accurate plan of restaurant staffing needs. - Promote growth within the staff through leadership and positive energy helping to unleash each employees greatest potential. Safety and Planning - Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws. - Ensure consistent, high quality service and food preparation. Guest Relations - Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into regulars. - Create lasting relationships with guests to ensure contagious loyalism. - Recognize the power of being present and engaged with guests and staff at all times. - Inspire staff to grow in all areas of exemplary service.
