Description:

The Host/Hostess is responsible for delivering hospitality to our guests with genuine and personable conversation. This position is critical to our guests’ overall experience as the Host/Hostess is the first and last impression for our guests. He/she must exceed the guest experience by aspiring to go above and beyond in providing exceptional service that will compel our guests to want to comment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards. • Assists guests to their tables while engaging in polite conversation and delivering a great experience. • Answers the telephones and takes requests for reservations and accurately records them in the reservation book. Provides callers with directions to the restaurant, hours of operation, and politely responds to their inquiries about our restaurant. • Accurately takes orders, in person or over the telephone for takeout orders • Communicates with team members regarding the availability of tables, seating large parties or special requests so that guests receive above and beyond service. • Communicates allergy sensitivity from guests to managers to Culinary. • Handles guest complaints by listening to their concerns, contacting the manager with any problems and solving complaints to ensure guest satisfaction. • Demonstrates ownership by checking back on guests after they have been seated to ensure a great experience. • Assists all team members and management with any additional items needed.

Requirements:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Frequent walking, kneeling, bending and reaching. • Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 20 pounds frequently. • Able to remain standing and active for a 6-8-hour shift. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Able to fluently communicate (speak, read, and write) in English. • High School Diploma or Equivalent
