Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced software engineer to develop and maintain the e-commerce website our customers love using week to week. Additionally, help out with any consumer facing emails and an application our retail staff uses to support online orders. Our consumer facing digital products generate a significant portion of the revenue for the business and continues to drive the company’s growth. Any work on our web solutions has a direct impact to the business. To succeed in this role, you must be self-motivated and enthusiastic about solving complex problems in an iterative approach and strive for engineering excellence. What you will do… • Work with a cross -functional team of engineers (backend, web, app, devops, and data), a product manager, and a designer • Contribute to our software stack – Javascript, CSS, HTML, React, React Native and Redux • Deploy high quality code to production up to several times a week • Impart your wisdom when reviewing code written by fellow engineers • Work with design and product management to arrive at gorgeous, but buildable application designs • Write unit tests to maintain quality of key components

Requirements:

Who you are… • 3-5 years of experience with Python, Java, or C# • Have a strong passion for writing high quality software and love creative problem-solving (We have hackathon days dedicated to generating ideas, choosing ones we like best, and prototyping a solution. Previous projects have given us Slack bots, Alexa skills, and an Apple TV app.) • Able to manage a healthy work/life balance. All work and no play makes Homer something something…
