Description:

Position Summary We are currently seeking an experienced iOS Software Engineer to develop and maintain our consumer-facing iOS app–which our customers love using week to week. Our consumer-facing digital products generate a significant portion of the revenue for the business and continue to drive the company’s growth. To succeed in this role, you must be self-motivated and enthusiastic about solving complex problems in an iterative approach and strive for engineering excellence. If you enjoy collaborating with extremely talented engineers, in a fun environment, and offering fresh perspectives on how to solve interesting problems, we’d like to meet you! What you will do… • Work with a cross-functional team of engineers (app, backend, web, devops, and data), a product manager, and a designer. • Design and construct world-class mobile customer experiences for iOS. Contribute to our software stack – using Swift and UIKit. • Write high-quality code with frequent App Store submissions. • Impart your wisdom when reviewing code written by fellow engineers. • Create new technologies that delight customers, deepen their relationship with food and wellness, and have them reaching into their pocket uncontrollably. Who we are… • A small high impact team that receives weekly updates from the Chief Digital Officer that includes full transparency on the state of the business and a direct line of communication to the leadership team. • Open minded to new ideas and ways to improve any part of the business with a software solution. • Encouraging everyone to voice their perspective on architecture and stack decisions, and will not hesitate to change our approach if we hear a better idea. • Loved by our customers, and we work hard to keep it that way. • Value honesty, transparency, and respect.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience with Swift and/or Objective-C. • Have a strong passion for writing high-quality software and love creative problem-solving (We have hackathon days dedicated to generating ideas, choosing ones we like best, and prototyping a solution. Previous projects have given us Slack bots, Alexa skills, and an Apple TV app.) • Comfortable in fast, moving iterative environments. You keep products shippable. You work cross- functionally. You take ownership and estimate accurately. • Demonstrate the ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines under normal circumstances, and ability to make trade-offs and when needed to optimize outcome when conditions change. • Able to manage a healthy work/life balance. All work and no play makes Homer something something…
