Department: Reid Stores Inc. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Prepared/Revised Date: February 2009 Reporting Relationship: Store Manager / District Supervisor Primary Function Responsible for all daily functions involved in the running of an efficient, profitable, professional, well maintained, safe convenience store. Responsible for the actions of all staff assigned to store. Ensures the delivery of quality service and products to customers. Complies with the “5 & 3 Basic of Store Operations; 5 Basics of Sales: Great Customer Service Great Quality & Freshness Great Housekeeping & Sanitation Correct, Clear Pricing & POP Proper Product Mix & Stock Levels 3 Basics of Profit Merchandising Cost Controls Shrink Controls Duties/Responsibilities A. General Management • Performs managerial duties in the absence of the store manager • Perform excellent supervisory and customer service skills at all times • Properly train, counsel and supervise store personnel adhering to company guidelines • Maintain a store-inspection grade of at least 90% on store-inspection report • Maintain company standard for preparation and delivery of quality food product • Perform daily store management and reporting duties as assigned by Store Manager • Achieve or exceed all areas of budget responsibilities • Monitor sales trends • Attend and organize required meetings • Ensure compliance with all company, county, state and federal policies, procedures and regulations including, but not limited to food, tobacco and alcohol regulations • Maintain respectful working relationship with vendors • Implement advertising, promotional and merchandising programs • Be available to work additional hours as necessary including necessary evening, weekend and overnight shifts B. Bookkeeping • Prompt and accurate communication of book work as necessary • Responsible for timely and accurate information reported • Responsible for accurate inventory control • Responsible for accurately reporting, and accountable for all monetary information • Perform audits as instructed • Responsible for daily, accurate reporting of bank deposits • Process weekly payroll accurately • Ability to report information correctly • Comply with DEC requirements daily C. Personnel • Ensure adequate scheduling and coverage of shifts • Comply and ensure compliance of personnel with all policies and procedures • Advise Supervisor of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance. D. Security • Ensure safety and security for store and personnel, handle all incident reporting and notification E. Merchandise • Proper placement and storage of products • Ensure that store is fully stocked and prepared for each shift • Responsible of all inventory, ordering and reporting – daily, weekly and monthly F. Maintenance • Maintain, monitor and report as needed anything regarding gas and store equipment Essential Functions • Be available to work a 40 hour work week • Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach for long periods of time • Be able to hear, read, understand, and write the English language at the eighth-grade level; • Be able to perform arithmetical calculations at the eight-grade level in order to be able to make change, complete shift reports, and account for numbers of a variety of products during vendor check-in; • Have sufficient visual acuity to check identification and process money orders; • Be able to read and understand instructions for operating electronic cash registers and other equipment; • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, carrying cases of milk cartons and soft drinks, beer and juice containers, etc, at least once per shift; • Be able to stock shelves and coolers; • Be able to react to a fire by lifting a fire extinguisher weighing 50 pounds and moving it to the fire area; • Be able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products; • Be able to speak and understand English, including the ability to hear the spoken word; • Be able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, and lift and carry out trash containers and place in an outside bin; • Be able to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the convenience store; • Be able to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 34 degrees up to 60 minutes at a time.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent • 19 years of age • Experience Preferred • Valid NYS Drivers license that meets company policy
