Description:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Senior Strategy Analyst is a highly-motivated individual with strong technical and communication skills who provides financial and business analysis to help inform strategic initiatives. This individual provides strategic problem solving, reporting, and analysis to understand current and future business trends. This is a dynamic role in an exciting high growth organization with direct exposure to corporate strategy and teams across the organization (e.g. Marketing, International, Operations, Supply Chain). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Gather and compile industry data / macro trends to create models to determine impacts to business and/or specific strategic initiatives • Partner with cross functional teams to develop success criteria and business case for strategic company initiatives • Work with colleagues throughout the company to create ongoing partnerships with key business functions to increase business acumen and to inform analyses (e.g. Finance, Customer Insights, International, Supply Chain) • Execute analysis to help identify revenue and margin enhancing initiatives for our system. Partner with FP&A organization to finalize/refine value creation projections. • Perform deep dive modeling and financial analysis on Supply Chain initiatives to inform and steer Supply Chain strategy • Prepare financial and business-related analysis / models using key financial metrics for value quantification (ROI, IRR, breakeven). Leverage existing tools created by FP&A team. • Work with large data sets to understand key business drivers, then translate the findings into insights and actions, and their implications for the overall business • Continuously improve and help streamline processes • Assist in preparation of analysis and presentations for senior leadership / Board meetings • Assist in project management and measurement of strategic initiatives, including utilization of agile project management, to ensure goals are met • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS: • Strategic, analytical thinker with strong bias for fact-based decision-making • Resourceful, learns quickly and has a thirst for knowledge and self-improvement • Guest service mentality; has a genuine desire to serve the customer • Passion for delivering high-impact results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment • Well organized and detail oriented, ability to manage multiple deadline with a sense of urgency • Proactively identifies business trends and willingness to assists others • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills – ability to interface with any level of company management • Adaptable, exhibits flexibility with changing priorities and conditions • Enthusiastic team player, productive working independently or as part of a group • Agile project management experience (familiarity with Scrum) • Ability to rapidly absorb and interpret technical information including financial/business data • Strong alignment with Wingstop core values EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • BS/BA degree in Economics, Math, Engineering, Finance, or Accounting with high academic achievement • MBA preferred but not required • Supply Chain and International experience preferred but not required. • Very strong Excel skills with modeling experience required • Proficiency in Word and Outlook, experience in Powerpoint and aptitude to develop strong PowerPoint skills. • 3-5 years of experience in a finance or analytical role such as consulting, finance, statistics, or related fields required - consulting experience preferred • Prior restaurant or retail experience a plus, but not required
