Description:

Consideration preference for local Missouri candidates in Crawford, Franklin, Phelps, Gasconade, Dent, Jefferson or St. Louis counties. HR Specialist reports to Cuba, MO office daily. The Human Resource Junior Generalist is the primary driver of daily deliverables and long-term strategic solutions in the following HR functions: • Employee Leaves of Absence, including FMLA • Worker's Compensation filing/processing, including privacy law compliance • Employee annual health screenings and reporting • Employee performance appraisals and associated merit raises • Employee vehicle program • Will also assist team with benefits, safety reporting including OSHA, HRIS administration, and special HR projects Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm in Cuba MO office; Eligible for full-time employee benefits Reports to: HR Manager Hourly wage + annual bonus eligible For questions, please email Stephanie.Morris@wallisco.com

Requirements:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma required; Strong preference for completed Bachelor's Degree EXPERIENCE: 2+ years experience HR required, with exposure to Leaves of Absence, Worker's Compensation Benefits, Payroll; Strong preference for SHRM membership and certification (or willingness to obtain after hire) SKILLS & ABILITIES: Exceptional customer service; Strong verbal and written communicator; Exceptional attention to detail; Analytical problem solver; Ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-paced change environment TECHNOLOGY/EQUIPMENT: Required Intermediate/Advanced skillset in Microsoft Office Suite - including heavy reliance on MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word; Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with Computer, Copier/Printer/Fax/Scanner, Telephone, Internet Navigation, and HRIS software
