Responsible for processing and coordinating leave of absence requests submitted by Vallarta team members. Serves as the contact person for Store HR, management and team member on all matters related to any leave type; inquiries, forms, status of leave requests, return dates, doctor notes, follow up letters, benefit premium due letters, collection of payments for benefits while on leave etc. Will conduct interactive process with team members requesting reasonable accommodation and coordinate all documentation that follows. Will support the department by serving as a back up to respond to unemployment claims as needed.
Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working in a team environment.
Must speak, read and write in English and Spanish
Strong computer skills; Word, Excel, and Email
Ability to multi-task and handle a large quantity of work
Must work well with deadlines
Must type minimum 45 WPM
Must be able to work 8 am -5 pm including some Saturdays.
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum two (2) years experience in human resources
Knowledge of CA leave laws
