JOB TITLE; Construction and Design Manager REPORTING TO: VP of Construction and Design LOCATION: Orlando, FL POSITION OVERVIEW: Construction Management • Manage all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction to project close-out • Review and coordinate construction documents with architect, KEC, MEPs and landlord • Manage the permitting and approval process and ensure proper approvals have been received • Manage bidding process, and selection of the general contractor and Owner-supplied vendors, and provide direction during construction • Regularly visit construction sites to review project status to assure on-time completion Design Management • Directs outsourced architects and consultants to produce design documents for new restaurants and remodels of existing locations. • Provides creative direction to the design team regarding space planning, FF&E, and systems design. • Procurement of vendor packages including signage, casework, lighting, equipment, graphics/artwork and FF&E • Collaborates with other departments within the Support Center to ensure functional restaurant layouts that still meet local codes, landlord requirements, and TRC standards QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • Self-directed, minimal supervision needed. • Ideally based in Orlando / Central FL. • Need someone creative, with experience in tenant-fit-out / unique projects. • 5+ years’ experience at a casual to fine-dining level preferred. • Willingness to travel up to 25-50% of the time EDUCATION: Relevant undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction or Design.
