Pappas Restaurants is seeking a detail oriented General Liability Claims Adjuster to join the Main Office based in Northwest Houston, Texas. To be successful in this role, candidates will be a licensed adjuster, have 5+ years of experience adjusting General Liability Claims. Responsibilities • Conducts investigations, determines liability, and negotiates settlements with Guests or attorneys. • Submits claims to insurance carrier when policy requirements are met. • Assists carrier adjuster in investigation and monitors until closure. • Document investigations, communications, and correspondence in electronic claim file. • Establishes reserves based on liability, injuries, and attorney involvement. • Processes legal invoices and tracks payments in RMIS. • Assists defense counsel in discovery requests. • Additional projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Licensed adjuster (All Lines or Property and Casualty). • Minimum of 5 years of experience adjusting General Liability claims. • Bachelor’s degree in any field of study preferred. • Strong verbal skills - ability to articulate liability decisions in a positive manner to retain Guest loyalty and protect the Pappas reputation. • Strong writing skills – draft professional letters to Guests and attorneys. • Experience in taking recorded statements. • Conduct detailed investigations. • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks. • Must consistently demonstrate positive, patient, and professional attitude. • Detail oriented, self-starter and capable of working with little supervision. • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Experience in a grocery, restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
