As the Digital Marketing Specialist , you’re not just another face. You’re part of our family of friends that show up every day to make sure our restaurant locations can have the happiest hour. This position is extremely hands-on in nature, but with the opportunity to learn about all phases of marketing from strategy to execution and for role expansion in the digital space. Email & Mobile Marketing • Work closely with Director of Digital Marketing and CRM partner to harness customer data and insights for leveraging in email program and elsewhere • Assist in the strategy and optimization development of the email program for all concepts • Executes strategic email marketing plans for all concepts: using insights & analytics to develop email strategy, manage the creative development of emails, program & deploy emails within email marketing platform, write subject lines, and monitor & report performance. • Develops and maintains email and social calendars outlining deployments for all four concepts Social Media • Digital lead for content creation with creative team and occasionally creating photos/Reels/Stories/Videos as needed • Own the creation or management of brand-forward, organic posts and campaigns that leverage pop culture, guest comments/feedback, internet trends and more. • Lead localized concept’s social media including strategy, community management, paid advertising, content development and oversee execution • Develop strategy and oversee content creation for Insta Stories, Reels, etc. Digital Marketing • Manages email calendar and deployments • Troubleshoot any customer email issues along with support from email marketing partner as needed • Fulfill the store-level digital requests (i.e. photo/ logo resizes)
2+ years of digital marketing experience
Four brands. One designer. (Well, two, but we’re looking for the second. Is it you?) The Graphic Designer will create marketing materials to support all four of our restaurant concepts, executing across email, print, POP, web, direct mail, social, outdoor, broadcast and more. We’re looking for someone with good branding, typography and layout chops, and digital experience is a must. Those like-worthy, traffic-driving Facebook vids don’t create themselves. If you’ve been intrigued by in-house work but are apprehensive about losing agency variety, you might have just found your holy grail. Each of our restaurant concepts has a distinctive brand, so you’ll be switching from Trade Gothic to Helvetica to Rockwell in a day’s time. And oh, the Pantone places we’ll go! • Be the point-person on all digital projects, including but not limited to, website design, social media content, app design, etc. o You’ll have the opportunity to work with in-house IT and development team or outside vendors, learning to facilitate design conversations with back-end dev when needed. o You’ll get to work with project managers to create social content both planned in advance and on the fly. • Be proactive about your content ideas. See a trend on your Insta feed? Make it work for our business and pitch it. Want to play with your food? Go for it … set up the shot and make it work to support our marketing strategy. • Be a team player: you’ll work alongside the creative team to deliver work that’s visually impactful and cohesive. • Here comes another fun part: you get to be a part of marketing department planning sessions to contribute to the overall marketing plans/calendars, promotions and in-restaurant customer experience. o Here, you’ll get to throw out all those whacky ideas you’ve been dreaming up and contribute strategically to the long-term vision of the brand o You’ll get a good handle on all our brands, the competitive landscape in which they play, and use your smarts on consumer/industry design trends to land on great ideas to pursue and blow out • Ability to work in fast paced environment and adapt quickly to tight timelines.
• 3 years of design experience in a fast-paced agency or in-house creative setting. Portfolio must demonstrate strong conceptual thinking, and standout creative work. • Flexible design styles. We have distinct styles and guidelines for our four brands, and candidate must be able to execute against all of them. These include: Houlihan’s Restaurant + Bar, J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks + Seafood, Bristol Seafood Grill, Devon Seafood + Steak. • Strong digital design skills, including GIF and video animation capabilities, website design + interest in dev process experience a plus • Awareness/usage of current trends, pop culture, social media … bonus points if you school us on them. • Strong background and skills in design-specific disciplines, including branding + logos, typography and layout. Illustration + hand-lettering not required, but we likey! • Ability to respond effectively and appropriately to creative feedback and direction. • Ability to sustain professional demeanor despite unscheduled work, revisions and short timetables. Stuff happens … let’s go with it. • Proactive, resourceful and can get going on a project with little to no direction when necessary. Must be inventive and can pay attention to details. A self-starter mentality – don’t know a program? Learn it. We’ll provide the resources necessary. • Collaborative by nature but also able to roll solo when necessary. • We’d love it if you loved food. We don’t care if it’s pizza rolls or steak tartare. • Experience in hospitality industry not required, but would be awesome. • Expert knowledge in all design related software (Adobe Suite required – including After Effects or similar video animation software. Keynote a nice-to-have) • Organized file creation in order to share among designers • Occasional travel involved.
