Dispatchers need to be on call outside of work on a rotating schedule to deal with any issues that may arise. This position will have early start times, varying from 2am to 9am on a regular schedule. Job Summary A mechanically inclined position that is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the transportation fleet keeping safety of vehicles as a priority. This position also requires the individual to drive a 26-foot box truck or similar vehicle to pick up and deliver produce, supplies and other food products to our farmers and to our customers should circumstances require a driver. Essential functions: • Provide timely and effective movement of equipment and vehicles throughout the truck yard based on communications with the warehouse. • Help load and unload trucks as necessary ensuring truck has a minimum of 4 load straps attached to rails every night and 2 load bars. • Fuel up the trucks as necessary, also making sure each truck has DEF tank filled. • Pick up produce from local farms when necessary. • Clean the back of the trucks, clean up parking area after truck is power washed. • Wash outside of trucks as necessary cleaning cab if necessary. • Inspect and file Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports • Inspect trucks for any damage, record damage on damage report log, video truck daily. • Make Farm calls for next day pick-up times. • Night time deliveries are possible. • Minor repairs to vehicles and company equipment when necessary. • Customer service oriented.
