Summary: The Lounge Host is responsible for greeting, seating and assisting all arriving customers utilizing the dining facilities. The Lounge Host may perform a variety of other tasks within dining facilities such as ringing up orders, refilling beverages, setting tables, and cleaning eating/serving areas. Essential Functions: •Greets and seats, and presents menus to all arriving customers, adhering to airline and HMSHost customer service standards •Maintains seating charts and knowledge of all restaurant activities to effectively accommodate all guests, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction •Maintains guest history, providing the dining team with all customer information and requests •Monitors entrance and dining areas to ensure guests are being taken care of appropriately and to gauge when tables might turn over •Understands and follows HMSHost and airline customer payment handling policies and procedures at all times •Maintains and adheres to all established standards pertaining to dining room appointments, rules and sequence of service and established dining etiquette standards •Performs other duties in a team effort during downtime which may include rolling silverware, expediting food orders, washing dishes, and properly cleaning and filling table condiments •Ensures a positive guest experience for all customers and resolves customer complaints in a manner consistent with policy, and with customer satisfaction in mind


Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment: •Requires at least 3 years of experience servicing high end clientele in a premium airport lounge or food and beverage establishment •Requires ability to read and interpret restaurant’s seating chart •Requires ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in interactions with premium clientele •Requires ability to maintain a presentable and polished appearance in keeping with service standards for premium clientele •Requires ability to maintain composure under pressure and awareness of surroundings and cultural differences •Requires ability to anticipate a customer’s reaction •Excellent organization skills •Demonstrates the ability to interact with customers and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner •Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
