Summary: The Senior Cloud Architect is responsible for supporting the adoption of cloud computing and automation initiatives, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms. Additionally, the Sr Cloud Architect will be responsible for ensuring that critical applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recovery. This position reports to the Sr Director, Infrastructure. Essential Functions: •Develops architecture solutions and evaluates alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services •Researches and recommends cloud architecture that will enhance internal and external platforms, tools, and systems •Acts as a subject matter expert for cloud end-to-end architecture, including current and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management •Provides support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations •Defines optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications •Ensures delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; works in conjunction with project owners to size, scope and identify risk •Provides technical expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to owners •Ensures delivered solutions meet technical and functional/non-functional performance requirements within


Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment: •Cloud related certifications such aas MS Azure or AWS preferred •Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree, or 10 years of relevant work experience •Requires 4 years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Architect, with a focus on server, storage, and networking •Requires experience with cloud administration and supporting operations •Requires experience with enterprise applications, solutions, and data center infrastructures. •Experience with VMWare enterprise implementations preferred •Requires strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies •Requires scripting experience in PowerShell •Requires experience with various projects that required PCI compliance and remediation
