Part-time Server Position

$7.25 an hour plus tips

Haute Spot is looking for an awesomely talented Server to join our team. Haute Spot is a newly transformed premier live music venue located in Cedar Park, featuring live music six nights a week with ticketed concerts on Friday and Saturday.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Welcome customers, read and listen to people to determine menu preferences, make recommendations, and take orders.
• Build a rapport with customers to create a positive atmosphere.
• Enter orders into the POS system in a way that is easy for the kitchen and runner to understand, and consistent with Haute Spot protocols.
• Work with the runner to ensure food goes to the correct table and individual.
• Communicate orders with the kitchen staff.
• Ensure the venue is stocked with everything needed for the shift, refilled throughout the shift when needed, and refilled at the end of the shift.
• Is highly familiar with the menu items and can ensure customers are aware of any potential food allergy concerns when necessary.
• Perform quality checks with tables after food/drink items are delivered to ensure their food was delivered as ordered, and they are having an enjoyable experience.
• Assist guest with any questions or concerns.
• Ring in food, drink or merchandise in POS.
• Stage and Reset venue for each concert/event.
• Be able work in all weather conditions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

• Must be able to maintain consistent attendance and be punctual.
• Strong customer service and people skills.
• Able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast pasted and somewhat stressful environment.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Must possess strong organization skills.
• Ability to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Possess a current and valid Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) and Texas Food Handler certifications.
• Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours at a time in a fast paced and somewhat stressful environment.
• Must be able to balance large, heavy trays while walking quickly.
• Must be able to push/pull/lift to 50 pounds; this may also require bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, and other physical activities.
