Job Summary: WTAP is looking for a dynamic and energetic sports anchor & reporter. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for covering local sports, and the ability to enterprise compelling stories for both sports and news. Strong story-telling skills are a must! Duties of this job include producing/anchoring our weekend sportscasts and reporting during the week. Candidates will also co-anchor our Football Frenzy sportscast covering all high school football teams in the Mid-Ohio Valley region each Friday night in the fall. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • Producing and/or assisting producing newscasts • Ability to shoot, write, edit all work, and operate live TVU equipment solo as directed by news management and Sports Director • Enterprising story ideas and covering a variety of assignments • Strong initiative and persistent attention to detail is required • Must be able to use discretion, best judgment in searching for stories and have solid journalistic/ethical skills • Schedules subject to change based on staffing/news needs • Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle background check and drug test

Requirements:
