You'll be working with a talented team to grow your skills and prepare, protect and inform our viewers on all platforms. Job Summary: We are looking for a weekend/weekday meteorologist for our #1 rated newscasts Besides being a solid meteorologist who knows the science, you have to be a storyteller and not a data dumper. You'll have the latest technology to use with Max Reality 3D graphics. If you have the skills, the drive and are one of the biggest reasons viewers watch your station now, we want to hear from you! Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following: • Produce and present multiple weather reports for newscasts and digital platforms • Can articulate and identify the big weather story to help drive content decisions • Ability to showcasing nuisance weather and the understanding of how it's just as impactful to viewers • Use social media to engage viewers and provide updated forecasts and impact graphics • Work with producers to develop a daily weather plan • Coordinate with weather and news team for comprehensive severe weather coverage • Available for breaking and severe weather events as needed • Participate in promotional and station events

Requirements:

• At least two years experience required; four or more preferred • CBM/NWA certifications ideal, but will work with you to obtain • Experience with severe weather essential and ability to handle continuous coverage when necessary • Knowledge of WSI (The Weather Company) MAX applications helpful • Ability to multi-task in a high pace environment across multiple channels and platforms • Ability to forecast weather in a DMA that has a vast array of weather, sometimes all at the same time • Can easily ad-lib; knows how to transition from humor and lighter comments to urgent weather delivery • A team player that is innovative in their daily storytelling ► Please apply online at https://gray.tv/careers#currentopenings by searching the station call letters (KWCH-TV) and your attach resume
