Job Summary/Description: KXII-TV News 12 is seeking a news producer for our Sherman newsroom to help bring the stories that matter to Texomans into their homes and onto our digital platforms each weeknight. This is a full-time, behind-the-scenes position working directly under the news director and anchors with reporters, photographers, and fellow producers. You'll learn the ropes from an experienced, award-winning news team, and you’ll help put together stories to air in the market’s top-rated evening newscasts, as well as produce news stories for our digital products and update the station's website and social media pages. ˑ News producing ˑ Newswriting (both digital and broadcast) ˑ Video editing ˑ Operating the teleprompter ˑ Coordinating with other producers and news crews in the field ˑ Coordinating live shots ˑ Corresponding with network and regional producers at other stations sending & receiving stories ˑ Assisting in answering the station's news tip hotline calls and emails ˑ Responsible for posting and updating breaking news online after business hours ˑ Writing and posting multimedia-rich digital news stories ˑ Updating the station's social media accounts

Requirements:
