WBTV is looking for an aggressive multimedia journalist who loves to break news and has to be first. You must be self-contained, able to multi-task, quick on your feet, and manage your time well. We need a journalist who connects with the viewer during live shots and who can tell a clear, compelling story. You must include a link to samples of your on-air work with your resume. If available, please include a link to digital work as well.
-pitch 3 stories per day, actively participate in editorial meeting
-live in 2 newscasts per day typically, more during breaking news or severe weather
-daily digital and social media responsibilities
-schedule flexibility is a must
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MMJ required, additional experience preferred
Social media proficiency required
