To learn more, visit: http://www.kcrg.com/content/news/?article=402732866&disable=ads Job Summary: KCRG-TV9, the top rated news station in Eastern Iowa, is seeking a Digital News Producer to lead the newsroom's coverage on the web, social media and emerging platforms. KCRG is already positioned as the market leader with the most web traffic and largest and most engaged social media audience in the market. This position is expected to take ownership of those platforms and maintain and grow that reputation with the goal of promoting the brand and growing our audience traffic and reach. The position will be expected to gather and write content for the website, manage and respond to viewers via social media channels, create images and videos to present news content targeted to each digital channel, coach reporters and producers in best practices for digital content and coordinate special station promotions or sales initiatives directed towards digital platforms. This position requires creativity, a competitive drive, strong journalistic skills and expertise in digital and social media best practices. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: -Find, write and edit content for website and social media -Create engaging web and social media content -Responding and engaging with viewers on social media -Ensure digital platforms reflect and support station brand and goals -Coach reporters and producers in best practices to support station digital efforts -Seek out innovative new ways to share information on digital platforms -Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
