Job Summary/Description: Local4, the NBC affiliate serving Lincoln/Hastings/Grand Island, is looking for a person to create compelling content on our digital, social media and broadcast platforms. This Reporter/MMJ will be based in Local4's Hastings, NE, newsroom. We will consider entry-level candidates for this position. But most importantly, the person we hire will embrace this opportunity for professional growth and experience. This is where you will really begin to learn your craft. You will research, produce, shoot, write, edit and present news content on our digital, social media and broadcast platforms with emphasis the Grand Island, Hastings and Kearney market. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Perform all the regular duties of a reporter, from story ideas to shooting, editing, and going live, on our digital, social media and broadcast platforms. • Be ready and willing to work various schedules depending on the staffing needs of the newsroom • Recognize that he/she is a high-profile representative of our news organization in the community and conduct himself/herself in a professional and cordial manner which reflects credit on Local4.

Requirements:

◾ This position requires a high level of creativity and communication. It also requires a degree in journalism or related discipline. We also need a person who is conversant and facile in story-telling on digital, social media and broadcast platforms and who understands how those platforms can be used to demonstrate Local4's commitment to hyper-local news coverage.
