Our news department produces 31 ½ hours of news each week. WBAY.com is the number one news and information website in all of NE Wisconsin. Job Summary: WBAY-TV in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is looking for an experienced Sports Reporter/MMJ to join our team. Come work in Titletown and cover the most storied franchise in the NFL, the Green Bay Packers. You will be working with the best sports team in the market. Cliched locker room sound bites don't cut it here. In-depth, explanatory storytelling is required to connect with a passionate, educated fan base. You need at least 2 years of experience for this position. This isn't a job for beginners. The candidate must be able to lift and carry video equipment, capable of shooting, writing, editing, and posting multiple stories daily on air, on-line and to social networking websites all under tight deadlines. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: -Enterprising ideas for original, impactful and compelling local sports content for all platforms -Covering breaking, event and enterprise stories daily. -Developing sources within the sports community to report on important issues -Strategizing with news management and the sports director on promotable content. -Fill-in anchor duties as needed -Must be able to shoot and edit content for on-air and online use -Using social media to promote content, drive engagement, find sources and stories

Requirements:

-At least 2 years working at a TV station with a strong news department or a digital, multi-platform news operation -Excellent conversational writing and communication skills -Experience in web and graphic design software, digital publishing applications and multi-media production software -Experience digital content management systems, shooting video and Edius Video editing -Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods Please apply online at: https://gray.tv/careers#currentopenings
