The station has been a market leader in all forms of new technology. WIBW TV's News Team members have years of experience in covering Northeast Kansas. Job Summary: The Sports Director is in charge of a 2-person Sports Department. This challenging position requires a good organizer who can keep track of major sports events and work with the News Director in getting important Sports stories covered. The Sports Director will be expected to shoot, edit and produce sports reports, as well as keep the web page populated with interesting and important stories. Candidates must display writing samples. Candidates must have good knowledge and ability in all social media platforms. The Sports Director must have ability to cover stories that are not the run of the mill stories available on national sports channels. This is not an ESPN-type job. It's local sports, local athletes and all sports in which those athletes participate. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: *Producing Sports for all social media platforms. *Writing and editing video *Keeping a high digital content presence on weekends as well as week days *Coordinating with News Director on daily stories *Assigning Sports stories to second Sports staffer.

Requirements:

*College News/Television News degree *On Air Sports experience *Energetic, competitive personality *Ability to think outside the box
