Job Summary: KGNS has an immediate opening for an Assistant News Director to join Laredo’s number one news team. The primary duty of this job is to work closely with News Director, and other staff members on the newscast and its content while overseeing the day-to-day operation and editorial content of the newsroom. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: - Initiating and managing content delivery on multiple platforms - Establish goals and direct staff that produces 15+ hours of local news per week - Plan “big event” coverage - Execute the brand, both on air and Online - Schedule talent - Work with reporters and producers to execute and fast paced newscasts

Requirements:
