Glen Acres Golf & Country Club is seeking a Golf Course Equipment Manager to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in sustaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and altering all golf equipment, machinery and golf cart rental fleet vehicles. Duties and Responsibilities of the Position: • • Performs maintenance and repairs on mowers, equipment, small tools, and golf carts; sharpens reels, maintains bed-knife to reel gaps, adjust mower heights, changes oils, filters, sparkplugs, greases fittings, monitors tire pressure. • Works on electrical systems, repairs heating and cooling systems, performs custom fabrications, and repairs engines all associated with golf course maintenance equipment. • Selects and purchases various equipment and supplies as needed and maintains inventory. Diagnoses and troubleshoots vehicle and equipment problems in the shop and in the field. • Designs and fabricates equipment parts not readily available including welding fatigued or failed components, converting equipment to meet seasonal needs, adding modifications to existing equipment, and designing specialized tools and accessories. • Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities for vehicles and equipment. Prepares and maintains various records, documents, and reports. • Provides technical advice to others working in the shop and monitors shop equipment to ensure that the equipment is in safe working order. Maintains reasonable, predictable, and regular attendance during the standard work week. Responds to service calls for emergency repair. Tests equipment on the course and occasionally assists with tasks on the course in various situations. • Assists departments in writing specifications for new equipment and vehicles; installs equipment; and makes modifications to equipment, and vehicles.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required for this position: • Thorough understanding of mechanical operations for engines, electrical systems and hydraulics • Maintenance and repair methods and techniques related to maintaining golf equipment. • Safety precautions applicable to maintaining golf equipment. • Tools and equipment used in maintaining golf equipment. • Laws and regulations applicable to maintaining golf equipment, handling of pesticides and disposal of hazardous materials. • Using hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment and instruments • Communication, both oral and written, sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction Physical Activity/Requirements: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, mobility, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Working Conditions: Hazardous physical conditions (mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, etc.) Atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, gases) Hazardous materials (chemicals)

Exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Working Conditions: Hazardous physical conditions (mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, etc.) Atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, gases) Hazardous materials (chemicals) Hiring Salary Range: $ 4250- $ 4500 per month. DOE The normal work week is 40 hours, Monday through Friday. Flexible work schedules may be available, based upon business necessity. Some positions require weekend, shift, holiday, or overtime work. Pay Days: Pay days occur on the 5th and 20th of each month (24 pay periods annually). Sick Leave: Sick leave accrues at the rate of 1 hour per 40 hours worked. Vacation: After twelve months continuous employment, 5 days of vacation. Three years, 10 days, Five years, 15 days.
