Position Summary We are currently seeking a data science intern to create models and develop algorithms leveraging a mountain of data about spending b. You will own methodologies for collecting, analyzing, synthesizing and communicating findings to business owners. The position will be based in Austin, TX. To succeed in this role, you should be a self-starter, and can quickly assess the data available and gaps to fill in order to provide a clear picture of the health of the organization with input from business owners. If you have confidence in your analysis, and love to see your research and algorithms in a great consumer facing products that help people eat healthy, we’d like to meet you! Key Accountabilities • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis and data munging to see beyond the numbers and understand our clients, their preferences and new trends in the industry • Partner with Engineering and Product teams to solve problems and identify opportunities; support and execute on product decisions • Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies • Create models to analyze consumption patterns, client behavior and optimal allocation of resources • Be a key player in the design and implementation of new data applications • Automate data analysis and streamline processes to increase business efficiency • Provide recommendations based on data trends uncovered when possible

Requirements:

• 1st year Masters or PhD student or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field • Experience with a variety of supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods, for inferential or predictive purposes • Ability to describe the logic and implications of a complex model to all types of business partners • Fluent in SQL and Python
