Job Summary: KXII News 12 is seeking a news co-anchor for the market’s top-rated morning newscast. This is morning television, where a little personality goes a long way. News readers need not apply. We are looking for a special talent to join our News 12 family, an award-winning team with years of experience in the Texoma market. In addition to co-anchoring the weekday morning newscast from 5-7AM, this anchor will also produce the morning and midday newscasts as well as produce and host our weekly public affairs program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: •Anchor and produce weekday morning and noon newscasts, CBS This Morning local news cut-ins •Record and call in for live news reports with our local radio partners daily •Schedule, coordinate, and conduct live interview segments with guests for the morning and noon newscasts •Possess great live reporting skills for field anchoring and breaking news •Help post digital content (news stories, interview segments, social media to drive engagement, etc.) •Appear at various community events outside normal shift •Serve as mentor and teacher to young reporters and producers

Requirements:

•Must possess strong writing and information gathering skills, be a quick thinker ready for anything, and have strong ad-lib abilities •Must have college degree in related field, a good driving record and valid driver's license, and a commitment to Gray’s drug-free workplace policy •Prior anchoring experience preferred •On-air reporting experience required •Please include a link to your demo reel in your application •The right candidate will have the ability to anchor every type of story, be willing to book and perform live in-studio interviews, help produce the morning and midday newscasts, write great copy, edit video, and occasionally anchor or report from the field ◘ Please apply online at https://gray.tv/careers#currentopenings
