Description:

The Category Supply Chain Manager takes ownership and leads food and/or logistics categories to deliver full value to all Culver's restaurants. This person will grow and cultivate trusting relationships with all suppliers, distributors, team members and franchisees. Essential Functions: • Lead and manage supplier performance for multiple categories; communicate expectations to suppliers, and hold them accountable for results • Develop trust and solid two-way relationships with suppliers • Take ownership and initiative; is accountable with food and/or logistics categories vital to Culver’s success • Function as a liaison on specification, development, and delivery changes between suppliers and internal departments such as Menu Development, Operations, and restaurants as applicable • Ensure compliance and execution of supplier contracts, pricing agreements and all onboarding documents • Collaborate with existing or new suppliers to meet or exceed business expectations (service, value, reliability, risk management, transparency) • Develop and drive process improvement and cost savings strategies • Trouble shoot concerns regarding products, services, and distribution issues • Problem-solve with suppliers on product defects or quality assurance concerns; implement and oversee corrective action plan as necessary • Communicate product and distribution matters to our franchisees and field personnel in a timely and appropriate manner • Complete supplier business reviews, anticipate future supply needs and coach suppliers to achieve long range planning and development goals • Identify and assess risk related issues, communicate with Senior Leadership and appropriate stakeholders as needed, develop and implement action plans to mitigate • Coordinate testing and development of new products • Monitor & forecast movement of products including strategy for minimizing excess or obsolete inventory positions • Source and analyze market reports and understanding product and commodity trends as well as their impact on product costs and the system

Requirements:

• Four year degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business or related degree or equivalent relevant work experience • 6 years holistic Supply Chain Management experience including procurement ideally in restaurant, food manufacturing, manufacturing or logistics industries • ISM Certification (CPM/CPSM), ASCM or other supply chain certification preferred • Demonstrated experience with negotiation, relationship management, problem solving, logistics, and project management skills • Fluency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
