Title: Asset Protection Area Auditor Classification: Non-Exempt Pay Rate: $21.50 - $25.00 Job Description Position Summary: The responsibility of the Area Auditor of Asset Protection consists of conducting multiple store audits, internal/external investigations, apprehending suspects who commit shoplifting crimes and completing/submitting necessary reports in a timely manner. The Area Auditor maintains constant communication with store management and stores’ operations team working together to achieve common goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Conduct multiple internal store compliance audits in the assigned area, such as Meat receiving, Grocery receiving, front end and Safety audits • Conduct internal and external investigations • Train new AP Detectives in the area of external theft apprehensions • Conduct external theft investigations including working undercover and apprehending suspects committing shoplifting • Complete incident reports and submit to corporate office General Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide training to store management and store team members as needed on loss prevention/Asset Protection initiatives • Must be able to travel within assigned district • Must have a valid/current driver license to operate a motor vehicle • Complete incident reports and submit to corporate office • Must be able to submit and successfully pass a criminal background check • Must be at least 18 • Local candidates only Knowledge and Skills: • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; including Microsoft Office and Excel • Ability to handle a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously • Superior communication skills • Ability to travel to multiple locations within the district • Ability to maintain/manage confidential information Required Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent education required • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in loss prevention preferably in a multi-store environment • Preferred completion of Wicklander-Zulawski interview training, but not required Physical Demands Will be required to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. May also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to team members and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other team members accurately, clearly, or quickly. Manage several requests and situations at one time or simultaneously (multitask). Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a non-exempt level position, must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by operations (any day of the week and different schedule shifts as needed).
