Description:

Summary: The purpose of the Senior Staff Accountant – Rent Accounting is to assist with all aspects of reporting, payment and customer support to the landlords and maintaining accurate contractual details within PeopleSoft Lease Administration. Essential Functions: • Provides accounting assistance in the Rent Department within Corporate Accounting  • Assists with creating and amending leases in PeopleSoft Lease Administration and validating the accuracy and integrity of the sales mapping tables • Performs lease reporting and payments to the landlords per contractual terms • Serves as a functional accounting resource for lease related matters • Assists with audit requests by retrieving supporting documentation from accounting records and preparing summary schedules • Supports peers and management on non-routine projects Reporting relationship and other important information: • This position requires interaction on a regular basis with various departments and levels within the organization as well as internal and external customers • This is an exempt position and reports to the Sr. Manager - Rent Accounting.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment: • Requires a BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance • Requires 2-3 years of relevant experience • Demonstrates strong computer skills using PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of PeopleSoft Lease Administration, a plus • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills including outstanding customer relationship skills HMSHost requires all new employees as a condition of employment to present proof they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 when they start work. “Fully vaccinated” means two weeks have passed since the new employee’s final vaccination shot AND proper documentation has been submitted to human resources.
