Job Summary: KWTX-TV, the dominant #1 station in Waco, TX is seeking an experienced full-time meteorologist passionate about telling the daily weather story and weather-related stories. The ideal candidate will have a dynamic presentation that focuses on how the weather impacts viewers’ daily lives, and the passion to cover severe weather no matter when it happens on multiple platforms. A candidate fluent in both English and Spanish is desired. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Work with weather team to provide complete weather coverage • Must be creative in presenting the daily weather story with an emphasis on accuracy and responsibility • Anchor, go live in the field, fill in on other newscasts as needed and report weather-related stories daily as an MMJ • Use social media platforms effectively, especially during severe weather • Work constructively with our news consultants and talent coaches to develop on-air look and presence • Present weather and news content in both English and Spanish over multiple channels and digital platforms

Requirements:

• Degree in meteorology and at least TWO years on-air experience • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Bilingual candidate desired • Technologically savvy with strong computer skills and ability to create effective weather graphics • Ability to shoot and edit video desired • Ability and desire to work as an MMJ completing daily weather-related story assignments ◘ Interested applicants can apply online at https://gray.tv/careers#currentopenings
