Description:

Position Summary The Shift Lead ensures that each and every guest is served in a friendly, professional and timely manner. In the absence of the manager, the shift leader effectively leads the team to execute great guest service and follows operating policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Lead team members on shifts, including assigning tasks (cleaning, line duties, opening/closing duties), providing feedback and training • Support appropriate personnel policies, labor laws and safety procedures • Ensure all security procedures are executed (safe procedures, open/close procedures etc.) • Transition into opening/closing duties • Makes sure the guest has a pleasant and memorable dining experience • Resolve guest complaints/issues • Lead team members to open, transition, and close shifts • Manage and organize the line and delegate duties to team members • Know and uphold standards for product quality • Work the line as needed • Execute and support all food safety requirements and practice • Control food costs, labor, waste, and cash on the shift • Count cash drawers and follow proper daily cash handling procedures • Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule. • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the MHRG brand. • Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner. • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications Experience/Knowledge: • 2 years’ experience in the restaurant industry • Must be friendly and guest service oriented • Ability to communicate effectively • Must have a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency • Must be a strong team player • Able to understand English and to follow simple verbal direction • Ability to train and coach others Skills/Aptitudes: • Detail orientated • Organized and efficient • Learns quickly and has ability to take direction • High quality standards for production and service • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure • Ability to work productively with little supervision in a team environment • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized • Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge • Must possess neat and clean hygiene License/Qualifications: • Valid Food Handler Certificate required • Valid State Alcohol Server Certificate required (unless state minimum age restriction) • Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays • Must comply with dress standards • Authorization to work in the USA
