Description:

Packaging Associate Mayorga Organics, LLC. is in search of a charismatic individual to join our Packaging team. The Packaging Associate performs bagging, labeling, packaging and cleaning activities, which require a thorough working knowledge of various procedures and the ability to operate different machines. Each Packing Associate must be committed to and follow Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) food safety standards and work in a very fast paced environment. Responsibilities: -Filling coffee into various sized bags -Verifying bags contain the proper amount and proceed to the next stage of production in a uniform manner. -Visually examining the product for defect and proper fill of the bag -Minimizing product waste -Keeping the line free of debris -Palletizing product for shipment -Loading and unloading machines -Following the instruction of acting Supervisor, as well as the guidelines set forth by our Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) policies  -Labeling of various sized bags and cans in a proper and efficient manner  -Performing equipment changeover when necessary  -Daily Cleaning of equipment and work stations at the end of the shift  -Performing quality control inspections (labels applied correctly, codes, dates)  -Assisting other associates when needed

Requirements:

-Excellent attention to detail -Possess basic math skills -Ability to document in writing necessary information -Must be able to stand on concrete floor for 8 or more hours per shift -Lift 35-50 lbs. and be able to constantly bend, twist and lift boxes -Must maintain timely and regular attendance -Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred -Being a flexible, self-motivated team player with the ability to follow direction and working independently at certain times -Ability to work overtime and flexible hours -Strong attention to detail -Ability to get along with others, being punctual, and following instructions -Ability to follow Mayorga Organics policies and procedures
