Description:

Purpose: The purpose of the Robotics Process Automation Modeler/Developer (RPA Modeler/Developer) is to support the automation of business processes using a combination of RPA software and knowledge of the business, supplemental scripting, programming and query languages. Essential Functions: • Collects and documents business process information to build solution design requirements for new automations, in conjunction with Sr. Business Analyst/Business Analysts • Contributes to the proposed solution design for a process targeted for automation and completes the automation under the supervision of the Sr. Modeler/Developer, Robotics Process Automation or the RPA & Solutions Technical Lead • Contributes to operational run books that describe the steps of the automated process and exception scenarios • Monitors performance of assigned automations during the phases of UAT, Hypercare and Production. • Monitors the post-production daily automation schedule, intervening in the event of error to rerun a stalled automation or communicate with business owners, the RPA Team, or source system (PeopleSoft) administrators to address exceptions. • Performs testing on assigned automations during upgrades and changes in automation software, RPA environments or destination applications. • Identifies potential reengineering opportunities to streamline the use of robotics (e.g., use of an application interface vs. a user screen) in conjunction with the Sr. Business Analyst or Business Analysts. • Supports remediation of production defects, as needed Reporting relationships and other important information: • The Robotics Process Automation Modeler/Developer position as described falls under the Fair Labor Standards act as an Exempt position • The Robotics Process Automation Modeler/Developer position reports to the RPA & Solutions Technical Lead • The Robotics Process Automation Modeler/Developer works closely with representatives from Sr. Modeler/Developer, Robotics Process Automation or the RPA & Solutions Technical Lead functions, and other positions in the company.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment: • Requires business knowledge and acumen typically gained through a bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance, or a related, equivalent field; formal training in RPA software and process automation modeling/development; and 5 years of experience working in a business analytics, process improvement environment, or business process re-engineering. • Requires a demonstrated working knowledge application development which may include the use of Visual Basic to create automated processes in Microsoft Excel while following appropriate software development lifecycle practices. • Experience with automation of processes using any combination of automation software, ERP configuration/programming and scripting • Requires proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project • Requires demonstrated familiarity with VBA, SQL, and .NET/Java Programming
