Description:

Summary: The Food Production Manager is responsible for directing all food production activities to ensure food quality, recipe, and portion control standards in accordance with HMSHost Quality and Food Safety Standards and Specifications and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a management position and typically reports to the General Manager. Essential Functions: • Supervises food production catering personnel and controls food and labor costs • Establishes par inventory levels for all products • Supervises product shipments from vendors and storeroom stocking to ensure they meet all company standards • Supervises shipment of prepared products to units and catering functions according to shipping schedules and requisitions • Conducts scheduled quality assurance tours of all facilities assigned to ensure operating standards are being met • Oversees hiring, promotions, transfers and terminations of associates • Oversees catering functions daily • Complies with HMSHost and franchise policies as well as those of all applicable regulatory agencies at all times • Works directly with the Commissary Manager, Business Center Staff, Sr. Administrative Assistant, Area Controller, General Managers, Loss Prevention, Human Resources and Store & Assistant Managers

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment: • Requires a college degree • Requires 2-5 years related work experience as a manager/supervisor • Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers • Requires the ability to work independently with multiple tasks while being a team player; self-directed, motivated, detail-oriented, and organized • Requires the ability to work a non-traditional work schedule
