Description:

Summary: The AP Analyst II is responsible for monitoring and processing AP transactions for a specific functional area including the interviewing, hiring, coaching and evaluating of associates in that functional area. This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with company and departmental standards, and policies and procedures. This is an exempt position and typically reports to the Accounts Payable Manager. Essential Functions: •Manages functional area and its associates on a daily basis, ensuring compliance with all company and departmental standards, policies and procedures •Performs all associate development including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, and reviewing •Compiles and reports on department key performance indicators (KPI) •Performs data analysis and accounting entries for a specific functional area •Analyzes AP processes and assists in the identification and resolution of system related issues •Monitors workflow and reviews work of direct reports to ensure deadlines and quality measures are met •Acts as a primary resource on departmental projects and process improvement initiatives

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment: •Requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience •Requires 3 - 4 years of accounts payable experience •Requires a high level of technical, regulatory and leadership skills •Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with individuals •Requires basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions •Requires strong verbal and written communication skills •Requires intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel; PeopleSoft Financials preferred
