The downtown and riverfront area of Wilmington is rich in history. JOB SUMMARY The Broadcast Engineering Technician will work under the supervision of the Chief Engineer. The primary job responsibility will be basic broadcast engineering support, and plant maintenance. Basic IT skills will also be required. Normal work hours will be Monday through Friday day shift, but occasional weekend and night shifts will be necessary. All Engineering staff are on call 24-7. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Job Summary, Broadcast Master Control switching and automation systems. Experience with Crispin automation and Evertz EMC is a plus. Production automation control systems, Ross Carbonite and OverDrive, Viz RT Graphics and Logitek audio system. Dante networked audio. Satellite receive systems hardware maintenance. Teleprompter and camera systems, and Evertz EQX routing systems. RF system experience is preferred, especially Microwave relay systems, and GatesAir UHF ATSC exciters and transmitters. • Job Summary, IT Local Area Network (LAN): Responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining station’s Local Area Network (LAN) environment. Possesses working knowledge of TCP/IP addressing scheme and ability to document and understand station’s network topology, remote access, VPN, serial communication. • Job Summary, Other Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing and overall mechanical skills. Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively orally, in writing, and through diagrams. Previous experience working with vendor remote tech support via telephone and email is desired.
