Description:

Bachelors in Computer Science required or Equivalent Experience & Minimum 5 Years Experience in the IT Field. Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at the Newcomb Oil Co. corporate office, field offices and convenience stores. Some duties include but not limited to: - Directs development and maintenance of systems, applications, security and network configurations. - Ensures performance of routine systems backups and availability of necessary software source code/installation media for disaster recovery or other restoration purposes. - Monitors for upgrades, patches, new application and hardware updates and makes recommendations - Oversees and participates in provision of technical support and guidance to end-users including technical training as needed - Provides guidance and prioritization to IT staff - Ensures proper licensing of third-party software and maintains current and accurate licensing records - Reviews all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable - Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisory personnel

Requirements:

Minimum qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university; or equivalent education/experience in the computer science field; - Minimum of five (5) years experience within Information Technology field; - Experience with local and wide area networks; - Extensive experience and strong competency in Microsoft networks, software (Microsoft SQL, IIS, Exchange, Visual Basic and Office Suite), and operating systems (Windows XP, Windows 7, Server 2003, and Server 2008). - Analytical and problem solving skills - Solid writing skills - Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff - Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences - Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts and methodologies - Some travel may be required
