Summary Coordinates food service activities of restaurant by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Estimate food and beverage costs and purchase supplies. • Completes or reviews weekly schedules for all personnel. • Ensures compliance with personnel appearance and uniform standards. • Enforces all health and safety regulations are adhered to. • Ensures compliance with licensing, permits and certifications. • Inspects food and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations. • Inspects dining areas for cleanliness and safety regulations. • Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints. • Forecasts, tracks, and reviews sales to meet sales objectives. • Maintains and reviews financial transactions to ensure accuracy and no fraud. • Monitors budget to ensure efficient operations and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations. • Participates in orientation of new employees and monitors training. • Assist with marketing strategy and implementing of advertising and promotional campaigns. • Track and forecast maintenance and repairs on equipment. • Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Manages two subordinate supervisors who all supervise a total of 18-60 employees in the Restaurant. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the food and beverage industry. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
