Description:

KFC is step changing their BI strategy and is moving towards the goal of being a “data driven organization.” We are currently re-tooling and re-architecting our BI platforms to world class systems in order to provide business clients and franchisees better access to data and better quality data. This position is a unique opportunity to see the inner workings of how to make big changes in a cost effective manner by utilizing current technologies such as: Cloud Architecture, SaaS, PaaS, Self Service BI, and Web API service and data delivery. •Research data issues on current platforms (50%) •Document data flows on current and new platforms (10%) •Provide support to business clients in creating reports and dashboards on new platforms (10%) •Research, provide input, and document new data metrics and definitions (Data Dictionaries) (10%) •Help define and implement data governance concepts on new platforms (10%) •Help drive the BI COE (Center of Excellence) by participating in periodic meetings with a cross functional business team (10%)

Requirements:

•Education/Certifications – High school degree required; must currently be enrolled in college degree program majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Analytics •Experience •SQL – Must have had at least some classwork utilizing SQL •BI Visualizations – Must have at least some experience utilizing tools such as MS Excel to create Pivot Tables and Charts •Data Mining and Research – Must be a person who understands aggregation concepts such as SUM, AVG, COUNT, etc •Customer Focused – Must have good communication skills and the ability to present themselves in a professional manner to business clients throughout the KFC organization
