Description:The position requires a culinary expertise with a passion for bringing new great-tasting Southern-Inspired menu items to KFC in an operationally relevant way.
• Responsible for being the Culinary Chef for KFC – does it meet the Colonel’s standards?
• Key culinary lead to drive Culinary Innovation to support 3+ years of innovation
• Executes and orchestrates numerous best-in-class culinary food showcases
• Actively engage to stay current with latest food and industry trends and share with team
• Actively engage with cross-functional partners to move the product from infancy to launch
• Provides direction to vendors and consultants while creating/building relationships with suppliers to showcase their capabilities
• Supporting other functions, especially Public Relations as needed, typically as a spokesperson with a new product launch
• Supporting testing of new products as needed
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Ensures sensorial integrity of products from table top concepts to factory produced by partnering with PD and Commercialization
• Provide thought leadership on developing platforms, Ops simplicity and Brand fit
Requirements:• Extensive culinary experience with quick service restaurant back-of-house capabilities.
• A minimum of ten years of culinary experience
• Experience in the quick service industry, or a strong interest in being a part of a global iconic brand QSR company; experience working with franchisees is also highly preferred
• Ability to think creatively to achieve breakthrough results
• Critical thinking ability with the creative strategic ability to think “big picture”
• A strong moral compass and commitment to doing what is right
• A sense of urgency and passion for turning knowledge and innovation into action
• Strong culinary technical skills with the ability to filter through consumer and business needs
• Ability to work productively and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization including many diverse working styles and backgrounds and to maintain a team built on collaboration, integration, integrity, and ingenuity
• Ability to act as an effective change agent while focusing on actions that are most critical for achieving step-change results
• A positive attitude and high energy level
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to deal with ambiguity, welcoming and embracing change while respecting the value of tradition
