Description:

The Cloud Engineer will work with the Architecture teams in the planning, development, design, evaluation (from both technical and financial perspectives), monitoring, and deployment of both new and existing cloud infrastructure that will align with organizational strategies and direction. Design & Deployment •Collaborate with Architecture teams and other technical stakeholders in the design, testing, integration and implementation of cloud-based solutions. •Deployment of IaaS\PaaS\SaaS solutions in diverse cloud environments (Azure\AWS\GCP). •Creation and maintenance of templates, deployment configuration files and scripts. •Develop, deploy and maintain container orchestration solutions (AKS\EKS\Kubernetes) Support •Support and maintain a highly stable and responsive cloud infrastructure. •Work with security teams to ensure cloud infrastructure meets organizational security requirements. •Assist with cost estimation, capacity planning and tracking. •Work with the KFC NOC team to troubleshoot and resolve issues within published SLA’s. •Administration and operation of platforms, tools and services. •Supports development and testing of software solutions and database components implemented within cloud environments. •Leads testing of infrastructure components utilizing pipelines and established DevOps practices. Monitoring •Identify and implement solutions to monitor cloud IaaS infrastructure to be used by the KFC NOC team. •Improve the availability and scalability of services through automation of continuous delivery, monitoring and alerting.

Requirements:

•Education/Certifications: •BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience •Networking certification (CCNA, CCNP) •Certifications in Microsoft Cloud Service: •Microsoft Azure Administrator •Microsoft Azure Fundamentals •Experience: •5+ years in Information Technology •Preferred experience setting up Cloud environments (preferably in Azure) •Working with secure certificates for authenticated connections. •Working with a cloud solution that automatically scales. •Advanced skills with Linux and Windows based operating systems. •Developing automation scripts for a cloud environment using PowerShell. •Migration of workloads into a cloud environment. •Skills: •Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while working on long-term goals. •Strong communication skills. •Experience in scripting languages such as Python and Powershell. •Working knowledge of DNS and TCP/IP networking •Working knowledge of IAM solutions. Experience with SSO solution providers also a bonus. •Basic understanding of container technologies. •Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. •Basic project management skills. •Working knowledge of version control systems (Git, BitBucket, etc.) •Bonus Skills and Experience: •Work experience in an environment that has adopted DevOps. •Previous experience transitioning solutions to a cloud environment. •Container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, AKS, Docker Swarm.
