Description:

To ensure the quality and accuracy of automated Digital technologies prior to deployment to our restaurants and the cloud through execution of test plans. As a Software QA Automation Engineer you will lead this process of automating test plans. •Define the vision and tools needed to automate test plans and scripts for current and ongoing initiatives at KFC. •Establish and implement processes for the automation of manual actions for the QA function. •Determine automated process flow and UI compatibility for 3rd party software. •Lead test plan reviews with other members of QA team to determine how best to automate our current manual processes. •Create, script, and execute automated test plans for software/hardware for both internal and external platforms, as well as 3rd party systems software. •Lead test plan reviews with other members within QA team. •Lead the efforts and mentor a team to deploy automated system/software updates to the restaurants and cloud environment. •Use Azure DevOps in the cloud to track test script completion. •Develop and maintain appropriate test environments and labs to accommodate new emerging automated technologies. •Provide hardware and software support to field operations and internal IT teams when issues arise. •Perform Defect Management (defect logging, tracking, analysis, and validation) •Work with internal IT and third party development teams to resolve hardware and software issues. •Provide input for field training documentation and train internal support teams. •Lead the work on Agile project teams •Participate in project meetings providing updates, guiding software release schedules, and representing QA •Work with project teams and clients to ensure that software is developed as per specification •Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all automation initiatives and serve as point of contact for 3rd party vendors. Make recommendations for improvements in technologies based on new developments in the market. •Interacts with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and development teams to identify and refine test requirements •Partner with 3rd party vendors to certify and validate their solutions. •Mentor junior QA team members on automation procedures and techniques to build know how of new and emerging automation technologies to build and grow a team for the future.

Requirements:

•Education/Certifications – Bachelors in Computer Science Preferred •4+ years QA/BA experience •1+ year(s) of scripting automation of systems •Experience •Ability to work well in a dynamic, flexible team environment •Must be a resourceful and proactive self-starter •Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal •Ability to balance high quality standards with schedule pressures •Ability to stay flexible and solution-oriented •Programming Languages: C# & PowerShell. (JavaScript highly recommended) •Automation of UI/Backend testing for Web, Mobile, and Desktop. •API Testing as part of CI/CD pipeline. •Automation of UAT •Azure DevOps Automation experience.
