Description:

The Cloud Architect plans, researches, evaluates, designs and develops cloud infrastructure by applying engineering, hardware and software design theories and principles to develop a compatible cloud infrastructure system in line with organization strategies. Design •Work in partnership with KFC Back of House, Business Intelligence, and Digital teams to gather requirements on functionality, performance, security, supportability, integration, and stability. •Create an IaaS\PaaS\SaaS cloud architecture that meets the requirements of Development, Infrastructure and Security teams. •Design architecture that can automatically scale and leverages latest available cloud technology. Deployment •Implementation of designed architecture within cloud environment (mainly Azure). Maintenance •Ensure all cloud infrastructure is patched appropriately and scheduled to minimize application downtime. •Work with security team to regularly inspect infrastructure for vulnerabilities and patch or make configuration changes as appropriate. IaaS Monitoring •Identify and implement solutions to monitor cloud IaaS infrastructure to be used by the KFC NOC team. •Work with the KFC NOC team to identify problems with the infrastructure and refine architecture or configurations as needed to meet desired performance levels. 3rd Party Architecture Review •Review of 3rd party SaaS and PaaS solutions to ensure they meet our availability and performance expectations. •Provide recommendations to KFC Vendor Management and KFC Legal on any additional requirements needed. •Conduct audits of 3rd party hosting as necessary to ensure they are complying with SLAs.

Requirements:

Education/Certifications: •BS in Computer Science or related field •Networking certification (CCNA, CCNP) •Certifications in Microsoft Cloud Service: •Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Deployment •Microsoft Azure Integration and Security •Microsoft Azure Administrator Experience: •5+ years in Information Technology •Expertise in Networking and Data Centers •Preferred experience setting up Virtual Private Cloud environments (preferably in Azure) •Setting up VPN connections (preferably to cloud environments or co-location facilities). •Experience setting up a Web Application Firewall or other DDOS protection •Working with secure certificates for authenticated connections. •Working with a cloud solution that automatically scales. •Developing automation scripts for a cloud environment using PowerShell. •Migration of workloads into a cloud environment. Skills: •Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while working on long-term goals. •Proven ability in solving unique and unusually complex problems •Strong communication skills – ability to consult with senior leaders within the brand and across Yum •Considered an expert in your field and ability to mentor and train less experienced members of the team. •Experience in programming languages such as Python, SQL and Java scripting. •Working knowledge of DNS and TCP/IP networking •Working knowledge of IAM solutions. Experience with SSO solution providers also a bonus. •Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities •Recognized as an expert within and outside of YUM in your field. Bonus Skills and Experience: •Work experience in an environment that has adopted DevOps. •Previous experience transitioning solutions to a cloud environment
